The State Board of Education sets expectations and rules that help all students succeed in school and beyond. You can find more about the Board, its members and our work by visiting us on the web, @DCSBOE or Facebook.
I believe that our city's State Board of Education members have an obligation to represent our community to other stakeholders and elected officials across our city, ensuring that the views of our community on issues relating to education policy and our schools are heard throughout our government.
While State Board members do not have any staff assigned to us to support constituent service, I will work with you and Councilmember Charles Allen to help solve your education -related problems. The State Board works closely with the Office of the Ombudsman for Public Education and Chief Student Advocate who stand ready to listen to and help with your concerns.
